Team Associated's Carl Renezeder Continues His Winning Ways in Las Vegas!

In the Pro-4 class, Team Associated's Carl Renezeder looked to continue his dominance from rounds 1 & 2, while defending Pro 4 Champion Kyle LeDuc looked to shake a monkey off his back. When the race started, the top five trucks of Adler, LeDuc, Barron, Renezeder, and MacCachren started to stretch out from rest of the field. After a couple laps of clean racing, Todd LeDuc made a mistake allowing Renezeder to get by and take the third spot. Barron was looking to make a pass for the lead on Adler and when the opportunity came, Barron jumped on it. He made a clean inside pass on Adler and took to the top spot. After getting to the lead, Barron spun a few laps later, giving the lead back to Adler, who later in the race experienced mechanical issues and had to pull off. Carl, now in second took the lead and stayed out front to pick up his third Pro-4 victory of the season.

Next up was the stacked Pro Lite class featuring 27 trucks. Team Associated drivers Ryan Beat and Noah Fouch took to the track looking to stand on the top spot of the box. Ryan Beat was in third heading to the last corner when he was collected after the front 2 trucks made contact. Noah's spotter called a high line and he was able to get by and claim a third place finish and his first podium of the season behind Brian Deegan and Casey Currie.

The day was concluded with the main event, the Pro 2s. 15 trucks fired their 900HP beasts and were turned loose for 14 laps of high-energy racing. Returning champion Brian Deegan lead the group of drivers to the start and had his hands full with drivers like Rob Mac, Carl Renezeder, and Robby Woods. Rob Mac and Carl worked on Brian Deegan and were both able to capitalize on a few rare mistakes which left the door open for passes. Rob Mac was able to keep the lead and drove on to the victory followed by Carl Renezeder and Brian Deega, who took the third spot.

Sunday came and the teams looked to close the weekend with some momentum that could carry them into the next couple rounds. Pro 4 took to the track for morning qualifying and claimed its first victim. Carl Renezeder suffered a blown motor when an oil line collapsed. His crew scrambled to change the engine and by the time opening ceremonies were ending, the new bullet was installed and ready to scream. Corry Weller started out front and was showing the boys the fast way around the track. She lead the race for several laps before a spin in front of the field would allow Eric Barron to take the lead followed by Rob Mac, Kyle LeDuc, and Carl Renezeder. After some good bumps and aggressive driving, Barron was shuffled back to fourth place, while Barron was going backward, Carl continued to work and set up places to pass. Carl's new motor was looking good and he was able to get past Kyle and set his sights on Rob and the lead. As Rob and Carl were heading into the newly redone back section of the track, Carl hammered down and made the pass on the outside and out broke Rob into the 4th corner to take the position as they headed into the chicane. Carl was able to gap the field and took his fourth win of the season. Kyle LeDuc turned some fast laps and made the pass on Rob Mac as well for the second place spot and was able to hold off Rob who finished third rounding out the Pro-4 podium.

The Lucas Oil Off Road Series will be heading back to Southern California and the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex where the track offers fast speeds, HUGE air, and all around good racing.
