Rounds 11 & 12 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) took place at the Primm Valley Motorsports Complex in Primm, Nevada. The weather was cool and the wind didn't help matters much but racers and fans alike stuck it out for what turned out to be a great weekend of off road racing action.

The big story of the weekend was Carl Renezeder's TR17 team winning the points championship in both Unlimited-2 and Unlimited-4. It came down to the last race for both classes and it was Carl's to lose in a very competitive field. After a nail-biting final lap Carl came out on top as the 2009 LOORRS U-2 & U-4 champion.

Going into the 2009 season we had high hopes for Carl's team and they certainly delivered the results but they weren't the only Team Associated/RC10.COM LOORRS points champions of the weekend. In the Trophy Kart classes it was a Team Associated/RC10.COM sweep with Sheldon Creed winning both Jr. Kart 1 and Modified Kart, with Dustin Grabowski winning Jr. Kart 2.

Rough luck let the Unlimited Lights title slipped through the fingers of Rob 'Fig' Naughton but perhaps it was because he had a lot on his mind, as he was stepping up and shaking down his new U-2. Rob has been a force to be reckoned with in the Unlimited Lights class and he was looking really good in his U-2, promising for an exciting 2010 LOORRS season.

The 2009 LOORRS season is in the books and has come to an end but there still is the Rockstar/Lucas Oil Challenge Cup at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex on the 11th & 12th of December. Come out and join us for last event of the year! For more information about the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, check out: www.lucasoiloffroad.com.
