Western R/C Raceway was the host track for this event. They have a beautiful oval and on road track, which drew over 200 entries from across the country as well as Japan and England. The weather even cooperated, ranging from the high 80's to the low 90's. There weren't too many pan cars, but there were touring cars everywhere.

Masami Hirosaka was Top Qualifier, Yokomo/Reedy, with Mark Pavidis in 2nd place, just 1 1/2 seconds behind Masami. This was the first time Mark raced the TC3 car. Jason Ruona was sitting in the 4th spot after the first round, but eventually got bumped to the eleventh spot. Scott Hughes was in the seventh spot with Billy Easton tenth. Billy Easton also got bumped to the B Main.

In the 1st Main Masami got a better start than Mark, and it stayed that way all the way to the end, with Mark matching Masami's lap times and finishing in second. In the next two Mains it seemed like Mark was being used as a bumper car, and he had to come from last place both times, eventually ending up in fourth place overall with some super driving. Meanwhile, Scott Hughes was carving his way up through the field with some great driving also to end up in third place overall.

All the Team drivers used Reedy Modifieds motors and batteries for power, with LRP speed controls and of course, Pro-Line tires.

In the Stock Modified Class, Andy Smolnik was the class of the field with his smooth steady driving style taking the win with his Reedy powered TC3. Tony Phalen, Greg Degani and Chad Bradley were also in the Main with their TC3s.
