Vesa takes Finnish 12Track Tour round 1, with Reedy power
Aanekoski R/C center, near Jyvaskyla, Finland, hosted the first round in a series of four national championship races, the 12Track Tour. The hosting club did a great job organizing their first-ever 1:12 nats to showcase the 30 x 16m track's technical layout. Classes were 1:12 Mod 6.5 blinky and Stock 13.5, run with GT bodies, and a Formula class.
Reedy Factory driver Vesa Yli took three out of four qualifying rounds to take the TQ ahead of Ari-Pekka Kyykka, followed by Panu Vehniainen in third. Vesa managed to lead from wire to wire in all three mains to take the victory home from the opening round. The order remained the same in top three as in qualifying. In GT-12 class, Ilari Lamminsivu finished second using Reedy LiPo power in his ride.
The series will continue the first weekend of February in Eurajoki, with rounds 3 and 4 to be raced at a double event in Oulu at the end of February.
