Team Associated takes 9 wins at the JBRL Electric series, round 1

Team Associated had a terrific showing in round 1 of the JBRL electric series. Coyote Hobbies in Victorville, CA, is a great facility with caring owners who worked very hard to keep their track in the best condition.

On Saturday we started off with two rounds of qualifying. After both rounds Nick Miller was able to take the TQ in both 4WD Open Buggy and Pro2 with his B64D and SC5M. In Open and 13.5 2WD Buggy Austin Pannone and Chris Vanraemdonck were the ones to laydown the fastest runs to get the overall TQ spot with their B6s.

In the 4WD Open Buggy main Nick Miller and Tyler Fenster had a great battle throughout the whole race. After battling back and forth, Nick Miller came out with the victory and Fenster finished with a strong second. After a rough start Jake Mayo finished third behind Nick and Tyler to make a full B64D podium sweep.

After taking the TQ in round 2 of Pro2, Nick Miller knew he had what it took to take the win in the main. With a great start Nick was able to check out of the field and bring home his second win of the day.

In 2WD 13.5 Buggy Chris Vanraemdonck made a small mistake in the beginning of the race that put him back in second. After a mistake by the leader, Chris was able to regain the lead and didn't look back. Chris was able to open up an eight-second lead to secure his first win of the season.

In Open 2WD Buggy Austin Pannone started on pole. Austin was able to open up a big lead and let everyone else battle it out for second and third. At the end of the race it was the local AE boys Austin Pannone and Johnathan Schultz getting 1-2 with their B6 buggies.

Also taking wins with Team Associated vehicles were Chris Nelson in 13.5 Truck and 2WD Stock Buggy with his T5M and B6. Blake Bond took Rookie with his B6. Matthew Alvarado won Stock Truck with his T5M while Davey Batta won 2WD 17.5 Short Course with his SC5M.
