Team Associated Wins Seven Classes at CRCRC

The 31st annual CRCRC Electric Winter Midwest Championship kicked off the indoor off-road season in the U.S. The popular event continues to pull in racers from around the country and even from out of the U.S. This year's track was fast and open, but flowing enough to yield great racing and reward the best drivers.

In the 2WD Modified class, Team Associated's Ryan Cavalieri sat on pole for the triple A Mains with his B6; however, teammate and Reedy driver Spencer Rivkin, who qualified third, made his way to the front of the field to win A1 and A2. In the 4WD Modified class, Cavalieri again started up front, but this time dominated A1 and A2 with his B64D to take the title. Again starting on pole, this time in the 2WD Modified Truck class with his T5M, Cavalieri walked away from the field to win his second title of the weekend.

In the 2WD Modified Short Course class, Team Associated and Reedy driver Austin Horne started out front with his SC5M and battled with Cavalieri in A1 and A2. Showing the speed that got him to the front of qualifying, Horne held off the 4x World Champion to take a popular win. Also taking a win in the Horne clan was father Allen, who won the 40+ 2WD Modified class. More wins would be racked up in 2WD 17.5 Buggy by Rudy Rico, and 2WD Short Course by Codi Lundberg, driving their B6 and SC5M, respectfully.
