Mike's Hobby Shop, just outside of Dallas, TX in the suburb of Carrollton, was the host of the 2012 ROAR Carpet Nationals. A shortened schedule packed two rounds of controlled practice and one qualifying round into day one with three rounds of qualifying to follow on day two, with the main events on day three. Factory drivers and privateers from across the country were in attendance to compete for the coveted ROAR national title and last race of the carpet season.

Reedy factory team drivers Keven Hébert, Mike Blackstock, Rick Hohwart, and Paul "Chicky" Ciccarello were on hand to compete in the Modified classes, with  motor/battery guru Sean Cochran on hand to provide support to the team and privateers.

In the 1:12 Modified class, Hébert and Ciccarello battled for the TQ spot throughout qualifying but ultimately Hébert was able to grab the top spot in the final qualifying round. Chicky started second, with Blackstock and Hohwart starting fifth and sixth respectively.

The format called for triple A Mains, but Hébert dominated the program by winning the first two legs to seal the victory. Two remaining podium spots were still up for grabs heading into leg three so even though the winner was decided, there was plenty of excitement yet to come. Chicky's second-place finish gave him third overall, with Mike Blackstock and Hohwart completing the 1-3-4-5 overall finish for the Reedy team.

1:12 Modified racing is one of the most difficult for both man and machine. Reedy motors and batteries provided the power, capacity, and reliability to make these excellent results possible. Congratulations, drivers!
